Patrick Hayeck – Director of Studies | PRON-COM Teacher | EAP Teacher

Patrick Hayeck

Hello! I’m Patrick Hayeck, CLA’s Director of Studies – it’s a great pleasure welcoming you as the newest member of our big CLA family. Simply put, I love English, and I’m very passionate about helping you to learn it. For over 10 years, I have taught a wide variety of English courses to all levels, nationalities and ages. I have also managed and founded several ELICOS centers both in Australia and Japan. I have developed a number of innovative courses mainly to help English learners to improve pronunciation, fluency and oral communication in general. Although my work also happens to be my hobby, I still enjoy watching a movie, reading the news, and travel. I look forward to seeing you on campus.

Rita Moreira – Marketing & Liaison Officer

Rita Moreira
I am working at CEG as a Marketing Coordinator of Latin America & Europe. At CEG, I can do what I am passionate about: working in a multicultural environment and interacting with students from different backgrounds & cultures. To me, work is much about learning and sharing experiences everyday.
I have a Master in Education and I have been working in this area for the last 6 years. I have grown to understand and believe that education is the engine of society, and it’s the only way to change mentalities and to face challenges such as poverty. As Nelson Mandela once said, education is “the most powerful weapon with which you can change the world”. I enjoy dancing as I did Ballet for over 10 years. I also love to travel and hang out with friends, and it’s always nice to listen to some music.

Catherine Li – Receptionist

Catherine Li
Hi all! My name is Catherine. I have been working at Canterbury Language Academy since 2007, overseeing the student service operations and enrollments on campus. I also directly handle financial matters such as receiving payment and checking students’ fees status. I truly enjoy working with international students, agents and of course our lovely team members. If you have any queries, I am more than happy to help you out. Besides work, I love reading, music, travelling and spending time with families and friends. Hope to see you soon at school!

Bhawana Bhattarai – Receptionist

Bhawana Bhattarai
My motto is “Respect others to get respect in return”. I provide administrative support to the Canterbury Language Academy. I received Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and worked as a junior banker for a few years. With the great desire to pursue a Master’s Degree and to work in a multi-cultural environment, I moved to Sydney in 2015. The experience of studying and working in a multi-cultural environment gave me a deep appreciation of how different cultures and beliefs bring a variety in ideas and ability to collaborate and adapt to each other. In my free time, I love travelling, swimming and listening to the music.
